About ABC
The story of ABC begins with a family of eight who came to Indonesia in the 1960s with no money, but plenty of determination. In 1975 they founded the ABC sauce brand, and today ABC is Indonesia's leading soy sauce brand and one of the largest in the world. Since 1999 the brand has been part of Heinz.
ABC is known for its three-leaf clover logo and above all for kecap manis, the thick, sweet soy sauce that gives nasi goreng, mie goreng and satay their signature taste. The range also includes chili sauce (sambal), classic soy sauce and sesame oil, and ABC is now the leader in sweet soy sauce in the US and Canada as well.
Millions of people use ABC when they cook Southeast Asian food, and the brand is a shortcut to authentic Indonesian flavor in Norwegian kitchens. Read our kecap manis guide, and buy ABC online at Indonesia Store, with delivery across Norway.
